It's the return of The Meanies

It has been a few years since The Meanies have played a show. Singer, Link Meanie is now married and living in Spain. So it was exciting to see them back in action at The Corner Hotel.

To hail 25 years since the release of the classic influential album 10% Weird and a whopping 30 years as a band, Australian punk titans The Meanies are embarking on a huge national tour.

Treating punters to a live set stacked with tunes from their hefty back catalogue, the tour kicked off with a matinee show on Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday November 5 at the Corner Hotel with Civic, DickLord and The Chiko Molls spinning the decks. So I tried my best on social media to make #NupToTheCup and #YepToTheMeanies a trending topic.

The Meanies are playing also this weekend at The Barwon Club for River Rock (Sat 9th Nov) and River Rocks Rehab (Sun 10th Nov). DickLord is also playing both dates.
