The Songroom is a weekly gig series running through November and December, bringing together Australia's best emerging and established artists. With our host Jess McGuire, our guests will discuss and perform original material and covers of special significance to them in an Irish-style "in-the-round" setting. With powerful vocals and fierce guitar playing, Emilee South hollers throwback rock’n’roll, with hints of voodoo, unrequited love, and small-town guilt. Gearing up to release a second EP, the feverish first single, ‘Howl’, was released digitally and on 7” vinyl in October 2016. Leah Senior is a Melbourne songwriter releasing her debut album through Flightless (King Gizz, Murlocs) and Remote Control in late 2015. Leah grew up in the country listening to her mother singing arias whilst blasting rock and roll from her bedroom. Her music now falls in the middle of these worlds and into a dim wallpapered room of slightly out of tune parlour guitars and the ghosts of Summer and Nick Drake.
