Without a doubt, Don Walker is one of Australia’s finest songwriters and performers. He has been mapping Australia, from Kings Cross to regional towns for more than 30 years, through solo albums and shows. He has released couple of classic albums with Tex, Don and Charlie but his career goes way back to his exuberant youth as a member of Cold Chisel. Penning songs that are ingrained in Australia’s music history such as “Saturday Night”, “Cheap Wine”, “Standing On The Outside”, “Four Walls”, “Khe Sahn” and the classic “Flame Trees”.
This is Don's first foray at the Port Fairy Folk Festival and he was be joined by Glen Hannah (guitar), Roy Payne (guitar), Garrett Costigan (pedal steel), Michael Vidale (bass) and Hamish Stuart (drums).
