Hot Gigs and Hot Tips - 13 Apr 2016

Get your mid-week dose of soul/funk this Wednesday at Shebeen Bandroom. Local 9 piece The Fabric will launch new single Warm Blood, joined by synth poppers Au Dre and hip hop trio Urban Problems.

Those also looking for an end of week celebratory boogie are spoilt for choice. Having recently returned from touring with indie legends Modest Mouse, retro rockers Pearls are back to show local crowds some more lovin. They will grace The Gasometer stage on Friday night, supported by The Ocean Party and Ausmuteants.

The John Curtin is also hosting a cracker of a lineup, with funk soul brothers (and sisters) The Cactus Channel playing one final show before bunkering down to record new music. They will be supported by Frida and Masco Sound System.

Finally, tickets are still available for The Proclaimers, who will play St Kilda’s The Palais on Sunday night. What could be more delightful than a whole set of someone singing in a Scottish accent?

Up and coming producer Kristy Lee Peters aka KLP has just announced a national tour, including a set at Shebeen Bandroom on June 3rd. Some of us at Gigbill HQ recently saw Peters play at The Hills are Alive, and can guarantee huge party times. Get yo tickets.

Tickets have also just been released for British post-punkers Savages, who play Corner Hotel on June 19.
