It’s been a tough week with Halloween and Melbourne cup and all. Extra public holidays always take it out of me. But that doesn’t mean you can slack off and miss out on the good live shows ahead!
THURSDAY - Swampland Issue No. 1 launch at the Gasometer with Simona Castricum + Cool Sounds + RVG + Kimchi Princi ... RVG are pretty great and I haven't had a chance to see the others so sounds like it will be interesting.

FRIDAY - The Laurels (pictured) with Lowtide + Lalic at The Curtin is my pick. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Laurels and Lowtide are great too. Psychedelic indie rock times to be had!

SATURDAY - If you have the dollars then The Dandy Warhols are playing the Palais with Morning Harvey supporting. Dandys are great and will always be great in my world! Morning Harvey from Brisbane are sick too actually I saw them a month or two ago at Workers! Otherwise SEX ON TOAST at Howler will definitely be a good time on Saturday!
More info about The Dandys!!!!!

SUNDAY - Bitch Diesel have a residency in the Tote front bar for November and this week they are joined by Time For Dreams and Palm Springs (solo). Bitch Diesel tell it like it is! Palm Springs is wonderful in band mode so I am keen to see her in solo mode too.
Bitch Diesel are your new favourite band
Also, on SUNDAY - Luka Lesson and his sick slam poetry will be at the Workers Club... something a bit different to try for me.
WEDNESDAY (next week) - The Basics are present 'The Songroom' with Jess Ribeiro and Leah Senior which looks good. "The shows are interactive, unrehearsed, spontaneous and often hilarious, with musicians performing ‘in the round’ in a cosy audience setting." I love Jess Ribeiro so I think she will bring some rad times to the table.

That’s it for now. See you at a gig or back here on the interwebs next week!
