It also features a low quality iPhone video that went viral all over social media. It shows what happened and how Neil Finn reacted while serenading the happy couple with the Split Enz classic, "Message To My Girl".
A Neil and Liam Finn concert is a real family affair. Neil and son Liam take centre stage, while Neil's wife Sharon (The Pajama Club) provides backing vocals and bass duties. Liam's brother Elroy Finn in behind the drum kit. There were too many highlights to mention: 'Message To My Girl', 'Four Seasons In One Day', 'I Got You', 'Weather With You' and closing the stellar night with 'Don't Dream It's Over'. They also feature songs from the forthcoming album by Neil and Liam Finn. With the best of Crowded House and Split Enz songs, it is no wonder that Neil and Liam Finn played SIX TIMES in Victoria on this tour, with three SOLD OUT shows at Melbourne Zoo.
Support on this splendid evening at Melbourne Zoo was provided by the replendent pink suited, Donny Benét. Sporting $65 cheap suits for the band, they look like male models from a cheesy Del-Monti Suits TV Advert from the 70's that requires the trademark Pete Smith voiceover. It was a fun disco set from the well-attired men.
